Academics

Trinity's purpose statement is: "Forming Christian leaders for mission." Academics plays a major role in this formation, but what does that mean, exactly?

Forming: We are a graduate school, imparting knowledge, developing skills and shaping character in readiness for the challenges of Christian ministry.

Christian: Trinity offers a discipleship intensive, an immersion in prayer and the word of God, in readiness to enter into the Lord's service wherever He might call them.

Leaders: Professors at Trinity engage students in officer training in preparation for significant leadership responsibilities among the soldiers of Christ (2 Tim 2:3), getting ready for the return of the King.

For mission: We prepare faithful witnesses to the gospel, ready to plant churches, build churches and grow churches, to fulfil the Great Commission (Matt 28:18ff).

One of Trinity's core values is that we hold high standards of excellence in teaching and scholarship, believing that these will further both personal maturity and practical effectiveness in mission. At the heart of a Trinity education is biblical theology – a concern for the overall theological message of the Bible – that shapes an evangelical, missional worldview. The integration of theology with worldview equips our students to be ready to engage in gospel ministry in whatever cultural context they find themselves - in their neighborhood or halfway around the world.

We are a gospel centered, global learning community that embraces both on campus and distance students, formal degree seeking students and lifelong learners. Anyone pursuing a Master's degree or diploma may take one credit course to check us out before having to apply to a program of study. Not interested in a degree? Check out discipleship and ministry programs for specially-designed continuing and lay education programs in our Extension Ministries section of the web site.
